Restaurants in Windsor

Here are some suggestions for good restaurants within walking distance of Windsor town centre. These are good choices for the end of the tour. There are plenty of others, but these are restaurants that I have personally tested and found to be of excellent quality. So without further ado…

The George Inn, Eton –  A lovely traditional pub with good food. The beer is great too! Garden restaurant is an added bonus in summer months.

Gilbey’s Restaurant, Eton – Truly excellent food with a French feel in a delightfully cosy atmosphere. The great cocktails are a bonus.

Sebastians – an excellent authentic Pizzeria with a wood fired pizza oven. A family favourite.

The Viceroy – Never known the welcome and food to be anything less than excellent at this Indian restaurant. A Windsor favourite. An additional eight minute walk from the end of the tour route

The Real Greek – A chain restaurant, but a good one! Lovely Greek food.

Al Fassia – A Morrocan restaurant that is a long established feature of Windsor dining. I love their tagines. However this is an additional seven minute walk from the end of the tour route.

Thai Square – Another chain, but who doesn’t love Thai food. Nicely designed interior.

Mango Lounge – Innovative takes on Indian food. Award winning restaurant near the river.

À la Russe – French Restaurant with a solid repution
